SOSIALISASI PEMILAHAN SAMPAH ORGANIK DAN ANORGANIK PADA SALAH SATU KOS MAHASISWA APIKES IRIS PADANG

Abstract

Waste is a serious problem that is often faced in today's society, especially in the boarding school environment. This community service activity was carried out at the boarding house of one of the Apikes Iris Padang students. Students' knowledge about waste and its processing is still minimal. Important facilities to raise awareness among boarding house children so that they don't just throw away rubbish and educate them on how to sort waste. Starting from this problem, this community service activity aims to provide a solution through education on the importance of maintaining cleanliness, selecting and differentiating organic and inorganic waste and utilizing processed waste so that it has economic value. The real form of this activity is socialization of correct waste sorting. This community service was carried out on September 21 2021. The methods used in carrying out this service activity were lectures and discussions by providing education. The result of this service is that Apikes Iris Padang students can have awareness and become more concerned about the environment, especially sorting organic and inorganic waste.
