Pemanfaatan Limbah Plastik Dengan Membuat Tanaman Hidroponik Menggunakan Media Kapas
Abstract
The increasing need for vegetables is directly proportional to their increasingly higher economic value. However, this increase was not offset by an increase in the area of land used for growing vegetables. Therefore, a planting system is needed that saves land, one of which is hydroponic plants. Hydroponic plants are the cultivation of plants without using soil and replaced with rockwool, rice husks and cotton. One of the hydroponic plants used is bean sprouts. The method used is 2 stages, namely the planning stage and the implementation stage. The materials used include cotton, plastic bottles, green beans and water. This PKM activity method is carried out by means of socialization and direct practice on March 13 2022. As a result, hydroponic plants require several days in the growth process, good maintenance will also have an impact on the quality of the bean sprout plants, such as the need for watering twice a day. In conclusion, hydroponic plants do not need direct sunlight, these plants need a short time to grow into bean sprouts.
